yes, we can use bootindex without problem, and mix boot=on on scsi drive and bootindex on devices.
boot=on have the priority.
so,simply add
if $conf->{bootdrive}=scsiX,
$scsidrivestring .",boot=on"
and keep bootindex for virtio,ide,net

but how does that interfere with the bootindex code? Everything works without problems??
