I'll try the patch in the bugzilla, it should be great if we can use X509 for java console and plain for novnc at the same time.

AFAIK they have browser plugin. But maybe it is too early for that.

Last time I checked the plugin only worked under Fedora. 
Not packaged for Ubuntu, nor for Windows, so making SPICE not very useful for most users.
