Well I'm not actually trying :) this is proxmox updates on a already setup 
system.

I looked at the disk with parted, the partition table is msdos.

The only way I've bene able to replicate the warning is by doing installing 
grub on a partition:

  grub-install /dev/sda1

Could the update process be doing that?
