Have done some other tests and the result was:
Doing a clone while a VM is running creates a 33G qcow2 file
Doing the clone while the VM is off creates a 4.5G qcow2 file
Backup and restore makes no difference: snapshot,stop or suspend always
generate a 4.5G qcow2 file
