I have a 2012 server VM running fine under Proxmox 3.1, but with 3 Go 
Ram. It has a SCSI controller (lsi), disks are raw format (no virtio). 
The CPU is KVM64 (default), with two sockets. Network interface uses 
Intel e1000 model.
