[PVE-User] KVM only

So long as the required features are enabled - look at the config for pve-kernel for instance, other kernels can work, though I imagine doing so is unsupported by Proxmox the company. When experimenting in this way, I know better than to burden the good people who make this software freely available to us. :-)
On PVE 2.1 I've run KVM VMs with zero apparent problems on a stock OpenVZ 2.6.32 kernel, as well as a 3.5.3 Fedora 17 kernel - always participating in a cluster with other nodes running the stock kernel. Last night I compiled vanilla 3.6.2 to test later this week.
All the cluster functions seems to work normally, and I wasn't at the time using HA. Something might have broken later, but all looked fine for a day or two of uptime.

Hi Fábio,
you need the pve-firmware and pve-kernel to use the proxmox environment. And to use fence, pve-cluster, and other apps/daemons of Proxmox,
Why you don't upgrade? You could use your Debian 6, for example, and then install this firmware, kernel and headers.

Just a thought :
If I use only KVM, it would be possible to use Debian stock kernel ?
Like the 3.2.xx in backports repository ?
