When experimenting in this way, I know better than to burden the good people who make this software freely available to us. :-)<div><br></div><div>On PVE 2.1 I've run KVM VMs with zero apparent problems on a stock OpenVZ 2.6.32 kernel, as well as a 3.5.3 Fedora 17 kernel - always participating in a cluster with other nodes running the stock kernel. Last night I compiled vanilla 3.6.2 to test later this week.<div><br></div><div>All the cluster functions seems to work normally, and I wasn't at the time using HA. you need the pve-firmware and pve-kernel to use the proxmox
environment. And to use fence, pve-cluster, and other apps/daemons
of Proxmox, <br>

Why you don't upgrade? You could use your Debian 6, for example, and
then install this firmware, kernel and headers. <br>
