Hi,

If you want to build custom centos templates, take a deeper look on these pages:

If you use Debian, you can use the very convenient and powerful dab:
http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Debian_Appliance_Builder

Network: If you use venet instead of veth you can assign the IP directly via the Proxmox VE admin gui. Venet is default and the preferred way. (http://wiki.openvz.org/Differences_between_venet_and_veth)

Hi everyone,

I use this CentOS template: http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/CentOS_5_Standard
But it's a pain that I have to use Vim and add the ifcfg-eth0 and route-eth0 each time until I can even have ssh access to the VM.

How can I go about customizing this standard template to my liking with setting DHCP to auto assign and maybe even run "yum -y update" as well?

I just want to know how to tamper the template itself.
