Hello, Pve-user.
I'm not user of PVE, but using vzdump/vzrestore tool to move openvz
containers from one node to another. Yesterday I've found that vzdump,
doesn't copy extended ACLs . Some digging makes me think the problem
is in tar utility , not the vzdump itself. Looks like someone
described similar problem here
http://forum.proxmox.com/threads/4722-vzdump-backslash-problem?p=26753#post26753
So, as possible solution one can use bsdtar for this, which is in
debian packages already. For lenny there is old version which doesn't
support numeric uid/gid, but version in squeeze does. I've backported
squeeze's version to lenny, worked nice, just required some libs from
lenny-backports repo, but may be this is fixable.
The question is - what do you think about switching to bsdtar as
default or may be with special command-line flag ? Or may be there are
some other solution i'm missing?
