[PVE-User] Samba runs on proxmox OpenVZ?

Samba does work inside a VE. I have it running inside an Ubuntu 8.04 VE. I
think maybe your interface parameter might be wrong. From the smb.conf man
page:

Example: interfaces = eth0 192.168.2.10/24 192.168.3.10/255.255.255.0

You can also use:
interfaces =

to "enable all active interfaces that are broadcast capable except the
loopback"
