Yes, the 7.1 have all needed features.

I'm hoping for a 7.1.x tag soon, the minor tag are done from the stable branch.
They are backporting only bug fix or security on stable branch, so I think it shouldn't break. 
(Currently, I never have seen breaking on stable branch with updates)
