Hi all,
Moving a disk to a LVM storage always outputs this in the log at the
begin:
create full clone of drive scsi0 (omnios_nfs:139/vm-139-disk-1.raw)
WARNING: dos signature detected on /dev/qnap_vg/vm-139-disk-1 at offset 510. Wipe it? [y/n]: n
Aborted wiping of dos.
Logical volume "vm-139-disk-1" created.
1 existing signature left on the device.
drive mirror is starting for drive-scsi0
According to this Redhat bugzilla the safest thing to do should be to
answer y to wipe signature or else you could end up with and unusual
disk: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1056452
Occasionally I see an unbootable disk as a result of moving an online
disk to LVM. In the client you will see segfaults trying to run simple
commands or complains about a disk in read-only mode. Stopping the VM
and trying to reboot fails since seabios complains that no bootable
disk was found.
Anyone experiencing the same?
Should a make a bug report?
