it seems this was neither pushed nor released in package form - I
rebased and pushed this series on top of Wolfgang's 2.6.0 patch set as
2.6.0-2  ..

since I realized this too late (when 2.6.0 was already pushed), you'll
have to force-pull / hard-reset your local master branch if you had
these patches applied locally.
