Well, the patch check the version of qemu or the machine option or forcemachine from qemu live migration.
So it should always be the same version until we stop/start the vm right ?

Me too but we can't rely on the qemu version.
I can upgrade qemu / pve than live migrate from 2.2 to 2.3 but I'm still without virtio-rng. While doing next live migration it will fail.
