[pve-devel] LVM on top of DRBD for two node clustering

Dear PVE users,

I followed the two node DRBD howto on the wiki and everything is fine
on Debian 7.0. The problem is that on the first rebook LVM fails to
activate the logical volumes on /dev/drbd0

# lvscan
  ACTIVE            '/dev/n1/root' [106.98 GiB] inherit
  ACTIVE            '/dev/n1/swap_1' [4.56 GiB] inherit
  inactive          '/dev/drbdvg/backup' [1.00 TiB] inherit
  inactive          '/dev/drbdvg/openvz' [1.00 TiB] inherit

A simple vgchange -a y drbdvg makes them active again and then a mount
-a loads the ext3 filesystems correctly.

I read about some /etc/rc.local, init.d and inittab (bound to md) fix
but wondering if this is a known problem for a Proxmox installation
over a Debian Wheezy system.

PS: What are your lvm.conf settings? DRBD docs with LVM on top says to
set write_cache_state to 0 (instead of 1) and locking_type to 3
(instead of 1).
