I can also confirm that backing up a CT to a NFS share on my Qnap
(Linux kernel) now works again.
To a Solaris NFS:
INFO: starting new backup job: vzdump 100 --remove 0 --mode snapshot
--compress lzo --storage omnios_nfs --node pve3
INFO: Starting Backup of VM 100 (openvz) INFO: CTID 100 exist unmounted
down
INFO: status = stopped
INFO: backup mode: stop
INFO: ionice priority: 7
INFO: creating archive
'/mnt/pve/omnios_nfs/dump/vzdump-openvz-100-2013_10_01-21_02_25.tar.lzo'
INFO: Total bytes written: 403865600 (386MiB, 170MiB/s)
INFO: archive file size: 204MB INFO: Finished Backup of VM 100
(00:00:13) INFO: Backup job finished successfully
TASK OK
To a Qnap NFS:
INFO: starting new backup job: vzdump 100 --remove 0 --mode snapshot
--compress lzo --storage qnap_nfs --node pve3
INFO: Starting Backup of VM 100 (openvz) INFO: CTID 100 exist unmounted
down INFO: status = stopped
INFO: backup mode: stop
INFO: ionice priority: 7
INFO: creating archive
'/mnt/pve/qnap_nfs/dump/vzdump-openvz-100-2013_10_01-21_01_02.tar.lzo'
INFO: Total bytes written: 403865600 (386MiB, 9.4MiB/s)
INFO: archive file size: 204MB INFO: Finished Backup of VM 100
(00:00:48) INFO: Backup job finished successfully
TASK OK
The difference in speed is caused by disk cache having the files when I
did the Solaris based backup - done immediately after the backup to
Qnap.
