Sure, we have 2 more servers like this (different models of CPU, RAM, 
MB) and they all have behaved well, but I'm aware of the riskt we took 
in this :)

Now that Ryzen ECC support situation is clearer, we'll go for ASUS 
MB+Ryzen+ECC RAM in the next iteration for sure (we renew one node each 
1-2 year).

I have taken a look, and can't see anything relevant. Also couldn't find 
a reasonable AGESA changelog...

Kernel taint refer to:
- P proprietary module was loaded
- O externally-built (“out-of-tree”) module was loaded
- D kernel died recently, i.e. there was an OOPS or BUG

First two are because of PVE kernel having additional drivers. Last one 
is present in all CPU errors, except the first one, which seems 
reasonable :)

No, as the reset has brought the system back without issues, we'll wait 
to see if the issue reapears.

I checked and the bug is not present, so the BIOS must have the updated 
microcode, or Linux kernel has some kind of workaround :)

I may say that I expected updated microcode shipped with the kernel, but 
Debian's kernel doesn't ship those updated (non-free package 
amd64-microcode is needed for that) and neither couldn't find that in 
pve-kernel packages (at least not installed in /lib, searched with 
"root at sanmarko:/lib# find -name microcode_*").

No idea really, as system was hung and had to reset.

Thanks a lot for your detailed suggestions. We'll leave the server 
running as is, see whether the issue reapears. I'll report back it that 
happens!
