The Proxmox installer makes a boot partition per drive and nowadays keeps them all in sync with pve-efiboot-tool (but it does not check for bitrot like ZFS). Please have a look at the Host Bootloader section of the manual: https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/pve-admin-guide.html#sysboot
