[PVE-User] Proxmox per VM memory limit

It’s difficult to troubleshoot something with partial information, as I’m sure you’re aware.

For instance, what does “(not) work properly” mean?
Does it boot and then fail?  Not boot?
Does a  VM with 750GB of ram work? 800? 999? 1023?  1025?
What exactly doesn’t work?
How has he determined it doesn’t work?
What has he tried to do to fix it?
Hell, what version is he running?

More importantly:  Has he (or you, for that matter), considered purchasing a support contract from Proxmox?  Several of us are lead to believe google searching doesn’t work for you, so I’ve entered the term “proxmox subscription” on your behalf to arrive at this page:   https://www.proxmox.com/en/proxmox-ve/pricing

Failing that, which is what you BOTH should do, perhaps your friend can join the list and post his issue and details on his ecosystem, rather than you sending a dozen emails with cryptic, partial, and secondhand information?

But I thing Proxmox staff do something to the QEMU code used in Proxmox,
because this friend of mine doesn't get a VM with more than 1 TB of memory
to work properly!
