This is an updated repost of what I wrote on the PVE Forum <https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/zfs-install-fails-for-pve-4-2-on-intel-nuc6i7kyk-samsung-950-pro-nvme.28282/>, in the hope that someone here may have a solution or point me in the right direction.

Attempting a new PVE4.2 installation using the Proxmox VE 4.2 ISO Installer <http://www.proxmox.com/en/downloads/item/proxmox-ve-4-2-iso-installer> (27 April 2016, latest available) on an Intel NUC6i7KYK with 2xSamsung 950 PRO NVMe M.2 SSD’s to any type of ZFS configuration always fails.

I have attempted RAID0 (single NVMe) and RAID1 (2xNVMe) and multiple custom boot options, including those suggested by fabian on the forum ( intel_iommu=on & rootdelay={5,10,20,30} ).

The result is always a failure and the same error output:

REALLY setting name!
The operation has completed successfully.
cannot create 'rpool': no such pool or dataset
unable to create zfs root pool
umount: /rpool/ROOT/pve-1/var/lib/vz: mountpoint not found
umount: /rpool/ROOT/pve-1/tmp: mountpoint not found
umount: /rpool/ROOT/pve-1/proc: mountpoint not found
umount: /rpool/ROOT/pve-1/sys: mountpoint not found

Installing using ext4 filesystems works as expected.

cheers,
Valdemar
