I have read the virt-sparsify code,
it's simply read the source disk, and create a new one sparse. (vm offline)
So , you can do the same thing with "move disk" option from proxmox,
or "qemu-img convert "
if you want to do it online, you can use virtio-scsi + discard, and do a "fstrim"
inside your guest.

Objet: [PVE-User] libguestfs-tools
Is there any chance of proxmox doing a libguestfs-tools package? the
Debian one won't install due to package dependencies. I'd really like it
for the "virt-sparsify" command:
http://libguestfs.org/virt-sparsify.1.html
really useful for guest images where the "sparseness" has become
fragmented leading to unnecessary image bloat.
