[PVE-User] SMTP Auth

Hello, 

Does anyone have any advice on how to setup Proxmox 3.4 to use SMTP Authentication for it's email notices? I can't find anything in the GUI. 

I found this forum post with a recommendation. But I wanted to double check that it was still valid.
