Hello,
i found a fix when using the HP SmartArray controller (cciss kernel module) at
http://forum.proxmox.com/threads/18220-No-such-block-device-Proxmox-3-2-and-Ceph-configuration?p=94628#post94628
which seems to work for Proxmox 3.4 also - at least for the command line tool (pveceph createosd ...).
Maybe the devs could integrate it.
