Hi Gilberto,
Windows backup should work if you do the full system state backup. The simplest way to get it running in a VM after that is to boot from the Windows Server CD and then tell it to do a system restore from your backup. It's supposed to be smart enough to accommodate different hardware during the restore.

Tomorrow, I will try that backup system tool that came with Windows 2008... (WindowsBackup, I guess... don't remember).
