Hi all,

I'm seeing this problem 2 of 3 servers of a cluster, after upgrading to
PVE 3.4:

# fdisk -l /dev/sda

Disk /dev/sda: 499.6 GB, 499558383616 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 60734 cylinders, 975699968 sectores en total
Units = sectores of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Identificador del disco: 0x000ec3e8

Disposit. Inicio Comienzo Fin Bloques Id Sistema
/dev/sda1 * 63 975699967 487849952+ 83 Linux

# LANG=C grub-install /dev/sda
Installing for i386-pc platform.
grub-install: warning: your core.img is unusually large. It won't fit
in the embedding area.
grub-install: error: embedding is not possible, but this is required for
RAID and LVM install.

# ls /boot/grub/i386-pc/*.img -l
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 512 feb 20 15:07 /boot/grub/i386-pc/boot.img
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 32281 feb 20 15:07 /boot/grub/i386-pc/core.img

It seems that now core.img is too large to fit into the firs 63 sectors.

I'm looking for a solution for this, the partition is a the LVM PV...
this was working fine until now.

Cheers
Eneko
