yes, maybe. I don't known if the qapi client dns resolve roundrobin or not.
(best way could be to use a vip, (corosync-pacemaker,or another way)


also, for the fstab mountpoint, maybe could be add "backupvolfile-server" option support to proxmox.

Sure. AFAIK this also works with kvm. 

But the problem arises when the server is offline during initial connect. 

Maybe that can be solved using DNS with multiple address records (can't remember)?
