Hi,

I use local ZFS storage and I use its snapshot feature.
* Very-very quick "backup", 
* easy housekeeping with zfs-auto-snapshot, 
* easy to send snapshots to other storage local (to different disks than the live one) or remote (hourly, daily, whatever) for offsite backup

vzdump just to "expensive" to make backups.
