Thanks for the pointer. I had been relying on http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Get_support , where it says that pve-user is the "primary communication channel for developers".
If I don't get a response in the next few hours, I'll resend my message to pve-devel.

P.S.: On the subject of the pve-user mailing list... there is a subscriber osirisadmin at cs.uoregon.edu that is rejecting mail. Every message sent to pve-user results in a bounce back to the originator, with the explanation
"Sorry, but osirisadmin is a closed list. Only members are allowed to post messages."
