[PVE-User] Proxmox 2.2 node as iSCSI target

Hi all,

I'll doing some tests with a Proxmox node configured as iSCSI target.

I'm currently using IET- iSCSI Enterprise Target, which is packaged in
debian and works quite good so far with proxmox 2.6.32 kernel.

But it seems that in recent Linux versions iSCSI target is being
standarized on target core from LIE - linux-iscsi.org

It seems (?) that proxmox 2.6.32 kernel has relevant kernel modules
(iscsi_trgt.ko, target_core_*.ko).

My questions:

- Has anyone tried to use LIE modules to set up a iSCSI target on a
Proxmox node?

- Is there a noticeable performance difference between LIE and IET?

- Debian Wheezy 7.0 does have LIE userland packaged (targetcli); does
Proxmox team plan to support this? Is there a likely date target for
Wheezy support?

Thanks a lot
Eneko
