What is your hardware? On what device is the lvm located?
Had a similar problem w. HP Server after installing Debian Lenny and Proxmox on top.
Here is what we did:

Betreff: [PVE-User] Strange LVM problem

Hi all,

Today we have stopped our proxmox cluster due to some electric works.
Both nodes in the cluster were running Proxmox 1.9 and kernel 2.6.35-2.

When we have started both nodes again, one of them has been unable to
find LVM group 'pve', and couldn't mount root filesystem.

Switching to kernel 2.6.32-4 has fixed the problem; we have then tried
again to restart with kernel 2.6.35-2, without any luck; so right now
our cluster has a node with 2.6.35 kernel and another node with 2.6.32
kernel.

Any ideas about what's going wrong with LVM and 2.6.35-2 kernel? I have
checked that it was running that very same version of the kernel
previously...

As the cluster is in production, we're waiting for maintenance time for
testing/checking more things in that node, so I don't have more info
right know (like failed boot messages in screen)

Thanks
Eneko
