What about starting with the recommended setup for HA? 3 nodes. Also DRBD is not that simple and also not managed by our HA stack.

So I recommend you just start with a 3 nodes HA setup and for storage, use NFS, FC or iSCSI. If you know all about or HA you can consider the next step. Probably you are quite faster with this approach. By choosing the most complicated setup in the first run and configuring all together without understanding the basic concept you are lost in most cases. And for sure, in the case of problems you will have the opposite of HA - long downtime as you do not know how to fix it.

Step by step is my suggestion for you.
