If you're referring to Snapshot support in QEMU [1][2], when relying on
QCOW2 storage format, it seems that it isn't directly supported by ProxMox.
As for ProxMox, it seems that the "Snapshot" support is always related to
the underlying LVM kernel support. As such, it cover "only" storage issues.

At least, this is what I understood from a thread discussed last month on
this very same list [3].
