Hi Dietmar,

I think it is because Ubuntu, for example, calls its versions 10.04.1, 
10.04.2 and so on, or CentOS, 5.1, 5.2 and so on....
You just don't have the same scheme for updates, and it is less clear 
for some people accustomed to other distros....
That's all there is I think.
