Just for information purposes: 

If you get the error "Can't
connect to 127.0.0.1:50000" when adding a node to an existing cluster,
you should check the SSH connection between the two nodes. 

Try 

#sshd
-d -p 1234 

on the node, and on the master 

# ssh -p 1234 

and see
what problems you might have building a connection.
