[PVE-User] qcow2 file size too large

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this issue that I 
just uncovered.

6 months ago I setup a 8GB windows VM using KVM.   Today I was checking 
on some disk space issues and I noticed that this 8GB VM is now taking 
up 138GB:

proxmox7:/var/lib/vz/images/115# du -hsc *
138G    vm-115-disk.qcow2
138G    total


Does anyone know why the file would grow to a size that large?  Also any 
ideas as to how I resize this file so I can regain the disk space?
