Hi everyone
We had some serious problems with the firmware provided in pve-firmware
package with a HP 10Gb Dual-Port Nic (it's an OEM NetXen Multi Port):
the firmware crashed every 5-10 seconds resulting in connection loss.
Replacing the firmware using the one found in the HP driver package from
[1] solved our problem. The driver package carries the version number
4.0.534 while the firmware in the pve-firmware package has version
4.0.517. Although I'm not sure whether the firmware works also with
other NetXen-based OEM-NICs of the same type.
Can you maybe update the NetXen firmware in the pve-firmware package?
If not, what do you propose to prevent our firmware to be ignored once
we update pve-firmware again? (I currently removed the phanfw.bin
manually to make sure nx3fwmn.bin gets loaded).
Btw, the QLogic-Firmware for the qla2xxx-driver could use an update too.
Thanks in advance,
best regards,
Tiziano Mueller
