[PVE-User] Proxmox and Intel X58

Hello,

Has anybody ever tried (and, ideally, succeeded) in installing proxmox
on a System with an Intel DX58SO Board? In my attempts, the proxmox
kernel doesn't boot because it doesn't find the hard drives. I tried
both the official and an adapted initrd, all fail when it comes to 
mount /

Any ideas? Or is this chipset just too new for 2.6.24?
