Hi Andrew,

I guess you can just save the image and config file with scp. We use the
qcow2 format, so a simple copy should provide a kind of snapshot.

If you want a 100% consistent state you need to:

	- shutdown the vm
	- copy the image and config files
	- restart the vm

We also plan to integrate kvm backups into our vzdump utility for V1.0
