I'm not sure that I follow what you are recommending.  This VE is 
currently using the venet devices for it's communication with the LAN.  
I needed to use openvpn to establish a client VPN to a remote server.  
This VE (PostPath) is behind a firewall and is not accessible from the 
Internet.  The VPN connection would be to the servers handling incoming 
and outgoing SMTP.

Would you recommend a different configuration?
