Yes, you are right. The current version of OpenVZ is not able to manage this independently – but this will change.

Therefore we decided to change the interface to fit for future version. (Currently we just summarize memory and swap)

I noticed that on my OpenVZ machines on the web interface I have an entry for swap. What does that do? It was my understanding that OpenVZ just used the hosts swap space and did not manage it independently per container.
