Here I have some comments, but they can be split into two different
categories:

1. things we really must change (or accept as is) now, that basically
   means stuff exposed in the config ("entrypoint", "ipmanaged") and
   if a OCI ostype inclusive setup module might avoid at least the
   "ipmanaged" config property.
   That should be explored ASAP, at least to a stage where one can
   somewhat reasonably judge if it's a valid approach. Can you manage
   looking into this very soon?

2. better encapsulation and code quality, ideally some basic tests.
   These are important but rather internal, so can be done later.
