I don't known if we can switch an existing disk without need to reformat ? 
maybe 512e will work (logical 512, same than 512n)?

I have some heavy mssql databases on my ceph nvme cluster,I'll try to bench them.
I'll send a patch today or tomorrow.

but all Windows >= 8 or >= 2012 support it for sure, so we could enable it for 
those. If I read the table correctly then 512e is even "more" supported (older 
ones with service pack or KB) as 4K native. 

Some benchmarks would be great/interesting, and naturally a patch too :-)
