I mean symetric because egress/ingress on the proxmox node where the vm is located.
of course if you have multiple routers/links, traffic could come back from another router.
But always on the same proxmox node.

to skip the term symmetric routing here (which would suggest that data 
to/from follows the same path), 
routed traffic is usually very asymmetric.
