For doing snapshots proxmox use qemu functionality, qemu can't do
snapshot on raw devices/files if under line RAW storage
(SSD/HDD/MDRAID) can't do it.
if you use raw with LVM, ZFS, Ceph RBD & etc, you will have a
possibility to do snapshots.
