vmstatus() ends with:

|    foreach my $vmid (keys %$list) {
|	next if $opt_vmid && ($vmid ne $opt_vmid);
|	$res->{$vmid}->{qmpstatus} = $res->{$vmid}->{status} if !$res->{$vmid}->{qmpstatus};

so it falls back to putting the regular non-qmp status into the qmpstatus field.
