That seem great :) I'm going to use around same cpu. (a little bit less cores (10), but 3,1ghz frequency)

Also, when I have done test, I had need to install irqbalance daemon, because I have some bottleneck around 60000iops,
then with irqbalance I have jump to 120000 iops.
I think a good start is to test with "fio", with krbd and librbd on host to compare base performance.
Then test inside the vms guests.
I'll try to post my results next month

Why not, I'll try to see if I can do it.
Also compare with a local raw file on ssd.
