ok, you are right. (don't known what it the impact to not have softdog loaded ?)
I have tested the patch,
it's working fine with ipmi_watchdog && iTCO_wdt module,
BTW, is it possible to pass option to module ?
"ipmi_watchdog timeout=60" for example
