This is a quite good reasons!

Besides, I would also want to be able to do backup of my remote VMs with multiple TB of data.
Unfortunately I have not found a good solution to do that. xdelta is definitely not the tool to do
that, because

 - problems with VMA files
 - quite slow with large files
 - difficult to handle
