I'm going to test s3500 today.
Seem to be a lot better for dsync
~# dd if=rand.file of=/dev/sdb bs=4k count=65536 oflag=dsync,direct

268435456 octets (268 MB) copiés, 7,41574 s, 36,2 MB/s

Or in other words, this is 4ms access time (same as a fast SAS disk with 10000RPM).
Unfortunately, they already have higher prices ;-)
