I use zfs on ubuntu 10.04 from https://launchpad.net/~zfs-native/+archive/stable/
It works perfectly on an always on, always used machine. I can't speak for performance directly, but I am using 12x 2tb hitachi disks with 2 512mb/s rw SSD\'s and it easily saturates a 2GB nic, even with multiple users.
